Monarch 1110 Pricing

Monarch 1110 Pricing Gun

The most popular price marking labels are the 1110 or A0001 made by Monarch (Paxar). The easy to learn and use pricing gun is partially the reason for this, but it is mostly to do with cost. The Monarch 1110 price gun and labels are relatively cheap and while they do not offer as many options and customization as other pricier price marking label lines, they are the industry standard for retailers simply trying to price an item.
The Monarch 1110 price marking label gun has been around for over 30 years and still going strong. It started out in a golden shade (as shown above), but is now sold in a dark gray. This one line price marking label gun is known in the price marking industry as the most user-friendly easy to use label gun. It is built for a long lifetime of price marking and doing what it does with precision and with ease. The Monarch 1110 pricing gun can print up to 8 characters on one line. The Monarch 1110 price marking label gun can mark an 18 item case in 5 seconds, price items over $100 with raised/underlined cents, can label promotional pricing such as 2 for 1 and date and time, custom bands to enable alpha characters are also available.

Stock labels such as two-tone with grocery, beer or sale price listed on the top of the label above the imprint area are common, while customized labels with store name, phone numbers and other things listed above of the imprint area are easily attained. As always, blank labels are available in 15 different colors.
Labels typically come 16 rolls per box, each box contains 17,000 labels and 15 boxes per case. Boxes may be referred to as sleeves or packages, rolls are used to refill the actual pricing gun.
Ink rollers for the guns are also replaceable. An inker is usually included when purchasing a gun and always included with each sleeve of labels.
Monarch 1110 guns can usually be repaired while walking through the issues with a customer service representative over the phone. Common issues that make many other pricing guns unusable are usually easily repairable due to the simple design of the Monarch 1110 price marking gun.

The Monarch 1110 comes in a number of different models:
Monarch 1110-01 price marking label gun

The Monarch 1110-01 pricing gun prints in up to 6 positions. The first 4 bands have easy to read numbers, dollar signs and “for” as printing features. The last two bands contain underlined numbers and cents signs instead of dollars to imply the obvious. The last two bands also feature the word “each” so these labels can be used on items that need to be priced individually.

Monarch 1110-02 price marking label gun

The Monarch 1110-02 pricing gun is similar to the monarch 1110-01 in that it prints 6 positions across the label and that it features easy to read larger numbers across all the bands, rather then the last two being smaller underscored numbers. The Monarch 1110-02 price marker does feature the word “for” on the first three bands of the printer within the gun, as does the Monarch 1110-01. The last two bands contain “+tx” which makes the operation run smoother with everyone knowing which items will be taxed. The “+tx” feature replaces the word “each” from the 1110-01 model. The middle spot of the band has a decimal point (.) and a dash (-) as the last two features below the regular numbers.

Monarch 1110-03 price marking label gun

The only difference between the Monarch 1110-03 price marking gun and that of the 1110-02 featured above is that this price marker prints in five positions instead of six. The five positions are somewhat similar to the Monarch 1110-02, as the first two bands feature the same “for” along with the last two bands which feature a “+tx”. The difference is found with the middle band, which features a slash (/), in place of the 1110-02’s dash (-).

Monarch 1110-04 price marking label gun
The Monarch 1110-04 price marking label gun prints completely different from the above guns. It has 7 printing positions and the first three bands feature smaller digits and the first band features the numbers 11 and 12 as opposed to just having numbers 0 through 9 like regular bands. The second two bands feature a dollar sign ($), and the word “for” instead of the numbers 11 and 12, making these bands slightly different then the first band. The two middle bands feature regular sized digits, a dollar sign ($) and the word “for”. Although the middle two bands have the same features as the previous two, the print is larger. The last two bands feature underscored digits, indicating cents. Cents signs and the word “each” are also included on the last bands of the Monarch 1110-04 price marking gun.

Monarch 1110-05 price marking label gun

The Monarch 1110-05 price marking gun features 8 different printing positions across the label. The first four bands feature smaller digits. These first bands all feature a dollar sign ($) and the word “for”. The two bands after the first four have exactly the same features as the first four, but in full size print. The last 2 bands feature small underscored digits, along with cents signs in place of the dollar sign and “EA” instead of the word “for”.

Monarch 1110-06 price marking label gun

The Monarch 1110-06 price marking gun features the most complex printing bands of all the Monarch 1110 family guns. Features include 8 printing positions across the label, and a middle band featuring years 2005-2010. On the first band of the 1110 -06 are the months (JAN, FEB, etc.) which allow for great opportunities in organizing inventory and products. The Monarch 1110-06 labeling gun features smaller digits for the second two bands, along with a dollar sign ($) and the word “for”. The band featuring the years (2005-2010) also features the numbers 2-5, as well as a dollar sign ($) and the word “for”. The 5th and 6th bands are the same as the 2nd and 3rd in terms of features, but the print is a bit larger. The last 2 bands feature small underscored digits, along with cents signs in place of the dollar sign and “EA” instead of the word “for”.
